about us

 

Admin & Co. is a Virtual Assistant/Freelance consultancy team created by Lee Doherty, a high level administration expert with over 25 years experience, in January 2016.

The idea behind this business is to provide the specialised experience and skills of talented administration, and other professional service/creatives experts, who can be engaged by small business, entrepreneurs, not for profits and solo owner operators, who may not be in the position to hire these types of team members in a permanent, part time or full time basis.

For the Admin & Co. team, it allows us to create a flexible work/life balance that our past 9-5 corporate employment positions have not afforded us.

Admin & Co. is the local market leader in freelance/outsourcing of everything administration.  Everything we do, every project, is our opportunity to build a reputation for delivering professional, ethical and confidentiality assured administrative support services.

We will focus on providing the best customer service to all our clients no matter how big or small.  Service means delivering high level and exacting work on time meeting client deadlines, regular, effective communication, and above all, listening to our clients, understanding them and responding to their administrative support needs.

LEE DOHERTY

Lee Doherty is the Owner/Director of Admin & Co. which was created in January 2016 after 25 years experience as a senior administration professional in various high level administrative management roles from banking and finance, real estate, accounting and advisory and retail and wholesale.
Lee provides exceptional administrative high level support, advice and assistance to enable people to do what they need to do best - your own professional hand holder and Admin Coach!
After having a period of illness that forced her to walk away and ‘contemplate life’ the idea of the was to create a business that allowed a flexible work/life balance that past 9-5 corporate employment positions would not… and Admin & Co. was born.
Lee has completed tertiary studies in Management and Human Resources Management (after thinking leaving high school in year 11 was a great idea) all while working part time and juggling 3 small kids. She is a firm believer we can’t have it all… we can but not all at once.
Lee is expanding her business and has started Bridge Coworking & Event Space located in Bridge Street, Newtown. 
When not doing and running the admin in Admin & Co. or community at Bridge Coworking & Event Space, Lee is a junior coordinator and netball coach to 180 girls in her spare time, lives out in the ‘burbs in Armstrong Creek with husband Jason and 3 girls Mia, Sophie and Georgie, as well as main income stream for various drive through coffee establishments in the region.

Emma is our very own Andrea Sachs to our Miranda Priestly is very handy to have in our corner with a background in and trained in MYOB, Quickbooks, Xero bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities.  She is a quick, adaptable and fast learner with a fantastic manner with both customers and colleagues, always bringing a smile and a positive attitude to the workplace.  She also is a graphic and web designer assisting us with our Squarespace one page website offerings.  

REBECCA THOMPSON

Rebecca or 'Maff' (for the small country Gippsland town Maffra where coincidently both Bec & Lee have lived!) comes from the land of media, marketing, public relations and administration with more than 13 years experience. She once was lost (in a corporate job) but now is found (as a freelancer).  Bec would love to be part of your business journey and can help with web copy, blogging, social media content, newsletters, feature articles, grant writing, corporate communications and more. Outside the (virtual) office, Bec is a wannabe surfer, word lover and chocolate addict.

Victoria hommelhoff

Victoria joined us as a recent Bachelor of Commerce - Marketing graduate.  Her recent experience as in intern with another local media group has given her opportunity to enhance her studies in social media and direct marketing. Victoria is another of our go to graphic and web designers, again, assisting with our Squarespace one pagers! She's just 'the Hoff' to us in the office...

 

Sally PapworTH

Sally’s Executive Assistant career spans over 20 years and she continues to be passionate about working closely with businesses and senior management to provide support and assistance at a professional level. She has a background in providing support to the retail, advertising, local government and consultancy services areas. She has a knack of being able to juggle many moving parts with calmness and composure.

JANINA LEAR

Janina is a seasoned social media professional with a thorough knowledge of social media platforms, blogging and basic SEO.  She will cut through the clutter to deliver results that often exceed expectations.  She has been described by clients and peers as an extremely organised person who brings initiative, creativity and focus to every undertaking. 

JASON DOHERTY

With over 25 years’ experience in marketing, public relations and event management, Jason is well placed to provide strategic and operational support to you as the client. 
He has had a background in both commercial and not for profit organisations as a CEO and General Manager and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Marketing and an accredited Professional Conference Organiser.
Jason supports the business with specialised grant and tender writing and management services, a specialised skill honed over 20 years.
Jason barracks for the Cats, which is good and bad, depending on who you talk to and thinks he can play golf like Jason Day! Only the first name is the same!

CATHERINE JONES

Catherine is the owner/director of On Call Marketing and is engaged when needed to collaborate on projects due to her high level of marketing expertise.
Catherine has gained her marketing, communication and social media experience across the last 15 years in both commercial entities and not for profit organisations.
She has a keen sense of social media trends and can ensure clients are well serviced across the broad range of media and marketing outlets.
Catherine barracks for the Bombers and we all feel sorry for her!  Her husband is going to be Prime Minister one day, no really!

STANDARD

$50/HOUR + GST

Minimum Time: 5 Hours

This option is great if you would like to try us out or just need a single task completed.


REGULAR/RETAINER SERVICE

$45/HOUR + GST

Minimum Time: 8 Hours

This option is ideal if you would like us to complete a bigger task or you would like services on a regular basis.

We have monthly retainer options for a 'no surprise' fixed cost.


IMMEDIATE/URGENT/ASAP

$60/HOUR + GST

This option is offered if you would like our services outside normal business hours, urgently ASAP or on an Australian or Victorian Public Holiday (subject to availability).  Onsite work is charged at this rate to take into account extra travel time.


DIRECTOR SERVICE

$60/HOUR + GST

This option is for service to be provided to you exclusively by Lee Doherty.

Minimum Time: 5 Hours


PROJECTS/TENDER MANAGEMENT

$TBA/HOUR + GST

Minimum Time: Negotiable

Projects can be negotiated in discussion with service provider and clients for a fixed total fee.
